Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager
Location: Bangalore, India (Onsite, 5 days a week)
Reports To: Director of Finance
Key Relationships: Finance Team, Operations Team, Sales Team
Job Purpose: The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will lead the global Financial Planning & Analysis function for Easyship, acting as a key strategic partner to the Finance Director and executive leadership team. This leader will be responsible for guiding the company’s financial strategy, driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives, and fostering a data-driven, insights-led decision-making culture. Based in Bangalore, the role will span global operations, requiring exceptional analytical rigor, stakeholder management, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
What you'll do:
- Business Partnering & Decision Support:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders (e.g., Product, Operations, Sales) by translating complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure financial considerations are integral to product roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and operational improvements.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Oversee the development of dashboards, scorecards, and analytics frameworks to track financial and operational performance against targets.
- Leverage data visualization and BI tools to present clear, concise financial results and insights to the C-suite, Board of Directors, and investors.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team based in Bangalore, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
- Implement best-in-class FP&A processes, tools, and technologies that scale with the company’s growth trajectory.
- Global Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with regional finance leads, accounting, treasury, and tax teams to ensure seamless execution of global financial strategies.
- Communicate effectively with senior executives, board members, and external stakeholders, delivering credible, data-driven narratives.
Who you are:
- Education: MBA in Finance, CFA, CA, or equivalent advanced degree in finance or economics preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive FP&A or related finance experience, ideally in a high-growth, tech-enabled environment (logistics, e-commerce, SaaS, or marketplace business models strongly preferred).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse, global teams, with a track record of building high-performance FP&A functions from the ground up.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting tools, ERP/FP&A systems, and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., LookerI) is a plus.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to simplify complex data sets into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
- Communication & Influence: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior executives, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders.
