Your Role in Our Story:
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial ESG Controller to join our dynamic Group control team. You’ll develop a reporting best practice to meet the EU directive and assurance requirements of external auditors. Ensure reports are delivered accurately on time and tailored to the needs of our stakeholders. The successful candidate has solid experience in Control & ESG-related fields, understands ESG best practices and standards, and has a passion for sustainability while knowing how to operate in a commercial environment. In essence, your role involves:
- Execute CSRD requirements and develop precise and transparent ESG disclosures.
- Conduct ESG assessments, risk assessments, and benchmarking analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with local and regional multifunctional teams to develop governance policies and processes relevant to ESG strategy and reporting.
- Monitor and report on ESG performance, including greenhouse gas emissions and other relevant topics.
- Set up and manage processes & controls for collecting, analysing, and reporting ESG data across departments.
- Write ESG reports and presentations for investors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Be actively involved with content gathering and creation of the annual report and ensuring overall compliance with ESG reporting requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with ESG regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements and ensure compliance.
- Educate and train internal stakeholders on CSRD and ESG reporting requirements to build organizational capacity and awareness.
- Supporting in other ESG Reporting initiatives and projects
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in Control & ESG-related fields, such as sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or environmental management.
- Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business, accounting, finance, sustainability, environmental science or a similar discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct ESG assessments and risk analyses.
- Experience with ESG data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to independently deliver results and create solutions for new/ upcoming matters.
- Skilled at integrating and taking others along in collaborative efforts.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of internal controls & processes and RA, CA, ACCA, or ESG relates qualification are a PLUS!
