Your Role in Our Story:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Controller who thrives in an international, dynamic environment to join Group Control team. You report to the Group Controller and work closely with the finance team in all the other entities. To do that successfully, you need to be assertive and decisive, have a service-minded attitude and an energetic personality.
Group Control function has key focus on Financial accounting and reporting, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), governance, internal controls, and sustainability reporting.
Together with the team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial governance, high quality of financial data and insightful reporting, managing risk, implementing effective internal controls, and leading sustainability reporting initiatives to support the strategic growth of the organization. In essence, your role involves:
Financial Control
- Group Consolidation and Reporting (approx. 10 legal entities).
- Analyse and review of the Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Control balance sheet (checks, accruals, provisions, reconciliation) on Group Companies.
- Perform controlling activities on subsidiaries deliverables.
- Work on improvements on controlling activities.
Reporting
- Ensure month- and year-end closing according to applicable deadlines for the Group.
- Ensure reliable, timely and complete financial reporting packs.
- Prepare compliance towards legal entity and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate annual reporting including financial and non-financial information.
- Contribute to an efficient and effective audit process.
Governance framework
- Together with dedicated ERM team co-develop ERM framework and governance structure for entire organization.
- Co-develop policies and procedures and functional limits in accordance with Delegation of Authority (DoA) and Merit of Authority (MoA).
ESG
- Gather, monitor and report on ESG performance, including greenhouse gas emissions and other relevant topics
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Graduate degree in finance or Chartered Accountant (RA, ACCA, CPA etc.).
- 3 - 5 years’ experience with financial control and accounting from either audit and consulting firm or from similar role within corporate.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of and experience with IFRS and internal controls.
- Knowledge of ESG regulations, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI etc, is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
- Experience with governance framework and ERM is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, fostering collaboration across departments and engaging stakeholders in international settings.
- Proven capacity to independently deliver results and develop solutions for new or emerging challenges.
- A ‘hands on’ work style, comfortable with understanding the big picture while being able to dive into detail.
