The docking controller joins our docking teams to financially control the repair budget start-to-end. He/she also coordinates all administrative necessities (logistic, housing, practical) during the complete repair of our vessels.Your responsibilities

You support technically grounded colleagues of the team by taking responsibility and keeping a complete overview of all these financial and administrative matter.

You are the key position in the team for all incoming/outgoing matters.

You do the preparation and follow up of the budget during repair by adding all changes

You analyze savings by comparing vendors

You will evaluate and report the results after repair

You organize all the administration during the repairs
Your profile

You are willing to work on different shipyard locations worldwide during 75% of the working time. 25% will be at headquarters in Belgium.

You have experience in cost/project controlling is needed and audit is an asset.

You are a team player: being part of a Docking Team requires the ability to easily adapt to different surroundings (some shipyards are located in remote industrial areas, etc..), to different people (different cultures and habits are common etc..) and to specific situations (stressful moments including deadlines etc…).

You have a Master in Applied Economics or similar .

You speak English fluently. Other languages are an asset

You are an expert in Excel: fluent with pivot tables and formulas.

You are able to work independent: The docking controller will often have to come up with propositions to improve the current work environment.
