About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Montreal. This role will play a key part in managing the company’s Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank procedures, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance and accounting, a high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire AR and AP functions, ensuring accuracy, timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Develop and maintain bank procedures to ensure the security and accuracy of transactions, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filing of all tax returns and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate month-end and year-end financial closings.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Monitor and improve financial processes and internal controls.
  • Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures in alignment with company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on AR, AP, and bank procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • CPA designation (preferred but not required).

  • Superviser et gérer l'ensemble des fonctions AR et AP, en veillant à l'exactitude, au respect des délais de facturation, de recouvrement et de paiement.
  • Développer et maintenir des procédures bancaires afin de garantir la sécurité et l'exactitude des transactions, des rapprochements et de la gestion des flux de trésorerie.
  • Veiller au respect de la réglementation fiscale et au dépôt en temps voulu de toutes les déclarations fiscales et des documents connexes.
  • Collaborer avec l'équipe comptable pour assurer l'exactitude des clôtures financières de fin de mois et de fin d'année.
  • Préparer des rapports financiers et analyser les données afin de fournir des informations et de faciliter la prise de décision.
  • Surveiller et améliorer les processus financiers et les contrôles internes.
  • Contribuer à l'élaboration de politiques et de procédures financières conformes aux objectifs de l'entreprise.

Qualifications :

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Plus de 5 ans d'expérience en comptabilité, avec un accent particulier sur les procédures de comptabilité générale, de comptabilité d'exploitation et de banque.
  • Forte compréhension de la réglementation fiscale canadienne et de la conformité.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels de comptabilité et des systèmes ERP.
  • Excellentes capacités d'analyse, d'organisation et de communication.
  • Titre de CPA (préférable mais non obligatoire).
