Overview
The position of India Financial Controller will report to the EMEA & APAC Accounting & Finance Director and is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the timely completion of management and statutory account reporting and related filings for TNS’s India based subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts under US GAAP, including detailed commentaries explaining month-on-month movements
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Managing statutory audit process
- Ensuring compliance with all local legal and regulatory requirements for Corporate Secretarial matters, including arranging Board Meetings
- Cash funding management activities, liaising with local bank contacts
- Monthly and Annual tax filings – GST, TDS, Income Taxes
- Providing support to global Finance team for ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
Main Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (preferably CA/CPA qualified) with c.7-10 years PQE
- US GAAP reporting and Indian GAAP experience
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organise workload and prioritise against tight deadlines
- Strong self-management skills. Ability to set well-defined and realistic goals; monitor progress and achieve results; manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to plan work in accordance with general direction
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player and excellent interpersonal communication skills
Desired Skills & Abilities:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 7-10+ years PQE
- 3+ years at Financial Controller level
