Job Title: Financial Controller

Position Purpose:

The Financial Controller will support and manage the development and execution of the Company’s financial and accounting systems to ensure the smooth operation of all financial activities of our LATAM entities. This role requires the precise and timely execution of tasks in accordance with the Company’s internal Policies and Procedures, as well as local statutory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage a team of local market accountants
  • Own the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, including accruals and prepayments, for the group.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team, ensuring they reflect the company's financial position.
  • Manage and maintain accounting records in compliance with established standards.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, ensuring timely filing of tax and financial documents.
  • Publish accurate and detailed financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial data to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate the auditing process and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information across all departments.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, including tax filings.
  • Oversee quality control over financial transactions and reporting to guarantee accuracy.
  • Responsible for statutory accounts and ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Produce high-quality monthly financial reports with a thorough review of P&L and balance sheet positions.

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance controller role.
  • 2 years experience managing a small team
  • Experience working with multinational companies is preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Advanced data analysis skills to interpret and evaluate financial information.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software systems.

This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting practices, a commitment to maintaining high standards, and the ability to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business’s financial health.
