Key Responsibilities:

Influence, communicate and liaise with all levels of the group, including management, ELT and Board level as required.

Be a subject matter expert in the key risks and controls across PZC finance and Entity Level Controls – and wider across the group, as required.

Create and develop relationships and networks across the whole of PZC, which will inform and create opportunities to cross-skill and share information, working in partnership, improving risk and controls understanding, awareness of the three lines of defense and business performance.

Proactively use relationships and networks to identify and analyze opportunities for financial risk and control improvement.
-
Liaise with internal and external auditors to share information and address risks / issues identified.
-
Oversee the tracking and monitoring and reporting of remediation actions raised by internal and external audit – working with all business areas as required.

Proactively analyse and investigate situations identified and create new, unique and pragmatic solutions to address/improve issues identified, including practical implementation of solutions, communication, stakeholder buy in and monitoring.

Identify, escalate, define and execute special and ad hoc work as required, including leading and taking responsibility for financial internal control projects, and provide SME support for any special investigations, Group Internal Audit and external audits and assistance to business areas where required.

Responsible for the supervision of teammate(s), leading, planning and executing work and reporting conclusions appropriately on controls testing, audit, special and ad hoc work as required – particularly during Phoenix Programmed but in BAU as well.

Perform regular analytics and challenge status quo in identifying risks and controls across finance and work with the Group Process Owners / Continuous Improvement Team to identify and implement financial savings and/or efficiency improvements for the business as a whole, influencing management to implement the required process and behavioral changes e.g. compliance with travel and expense policies.

Sharing information and liaising with Continuous Improvement team and the Group Finance Process Owners (GPOs).

Using analytical data, identify areas for further investigation or remedial action, define and action as appropriate.

Lead and perform financial audits including PLC ITGC and CLC, by company, geography, contract, procedure.

Implement, monitor and action as required to ensure – robust testing and audit practices when performing all audit work, including, but not limited to: (a) Communicating with all relevant stakeholders; (b) Performing data analysis to identify audit needs and prioritize actions; (c) Analyzing root causes of internal control deficiencies, recommending improvements, and advising senior management; (d) Producing quality reports that present conclusions and pragmatic solutions; (e) Developing audit opinions on financial internal controls and compliance; (f) Documenting audit findings; (g) Tracking remediation progress.

Reporting to senior management including status reports and dashboard including identification of themes and trends, creation of resultant actions / consequences.

Perform testing and audit monitoring / follow-up work as appropriate to evaluate the existence and effectiveness of corrective action (via re-visit or contact with management).

Identify requirements and monitor and report adherence to external business requirements and legislation Identify requirements and monitor and report adherence to internal policies and procedures across the group.

Remain current with requirements and proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes.

Create new efficient and effective initiatives to address work requirements, e.g. new methods of testing, training or communication.

Liaison and partnering with internal and external stakeholders including all areas of PZC business, group-wide internal control and business colleagues.

Plan and deliver work schedules to time and quality whilst maximizing efficiency and reducing time and resource impact on the business.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
-
Minimum 5 years’ work experience as qualified Accountant or Internal/External Auditor. Preferred Experience in the FMCG sector.

Foundational Competency in Reporting, Performance Management, Analysis & Insight, and Business Understanding.
-
Operational Competency in Accounting, Risk Management, Systems & Processes, and Business Impact.
-
Mastery Competency in Controls.
-
Experience with US SOx / JSOx or similar frameworks.
-
Proven Leadership of skilled professionals.

Expertise in Change Management and Communications.

Proficiency in Audit Software Implementation and Use.
-
Extensive experience in a Financial Environment.

Ability to write Persuasive and Effective Reports that clearly define findings, their causes, and recommendations.

Experience in Analytical Review, including systematic data gathering, analysis, and drawing appropriate conclusions.

Knowledge of and ability to Challenge Financial Processes such as forecasting, budgeting, audit, contracts, supply chain, billing, capital expenditures, inventory pricing, and reporting.

Excellent Report Writing Skills, with the ability to adapt reports to the audience to achieve buy-in and business improvement.

Ability to remain Professional and gain and maintain respect from colleagues at all levels.

Dynamic and Flexible, able to respond quickly to business requirements, including changing priorities and new methodologies.

Highly Motivated and able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
