Job Description:

We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at MBPS. In this role, you are primarily accountable for the accounting and analysis of finance activities to support Asia Finance Controllers SSC. The role is also responsible for the preparation of Finance processes such as but not limited to JE preparation, reconciliation and preparation of management reports being used by Business Units within Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations – Finance operations which are transactional in nature but has financial impact (e.g. Journal Entries, Reconciliations, Daily Sales Reporting etc.).

  • Accounting Operations – responsible in preparing, uploading of entries to facilitate month-end activities. Reconciliation of accounts and balance sheet items for audit and regulatory requirements.

  • Financial Reporting – for submission to regional team for consolidation of reports and for regulatory submissions.

  • Management Reporting - to support the requirement of internal and external parties.

  • BAU – provides back-up for daily tasks. Performs ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Business Units Process improvements –

  • Propose automation initiatives for existing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree of Accountancy, Finance or equivalent, plus 1-2 years of accounting or related work background.

  • Experience in accounting treatments in Insurance or Finance industries preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, Business Objects applications, Lawson, Hyperion Essbase.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Has strong attention to details.

  • Self-starter, well-organized and team oriented.

  • Good command of written and oral English.

  • Demonstrates unwavering commitment and resolute decision making.
