Job Description:
The Financial Analyst is proactive, highly motivated, self-directed individual with high standards of quality and performance responsible for the financial forecasting, budgeting, data gathering and analysis processes. The role supports the global finance efforts, working closely with Director Finance, and global commercial and operations. They will work independently, drive positive change, including evaluating and streamlining of existing processes and controls to deliver accurate and timely results ensuring proper use of company resources and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to evaluate operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and forecast.
- Act as the primary owner of the Daily Sales Report and manage Tableau data.
- Prepare weekly sales estimates for L1.
- Generate month-end statistics, including sales, bookings, backlogs, price, and Spark statistics.
- Support deferral revenue analysis, budget and forecast.
- Maintain and review intercompany sales and costs and calculate vertical margin actuals and forecasts.
- Collaborate with IT and accountants to ensure accurate intercompany transaction flow.
- Coordinate and ensure the accuracy of headcount actuals and forecasts, partnering with HR and regional leaders.
- Analyze spending results to identify variations and trends that may indicate potential issues and the need for countermeasures.
- Gather financial data, prepare reports, and make recommendations on financial plans, cash flow projections, operating forecasts, acquisition activity, and new business planning.
- Assist in forecast and budget submissions, including uploads into the company's financial system (HFM and Sierra).
- Support corporate deliverables on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Utilize company databases to retrieve relevant information for analyzing current performance and determining forecasts.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to improve sales, discounts/rebates, and gross profit performance as needed.
- Make cost-saving or profit-generating recommendations.
- Create ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
- Undertake miscellaneous financial projects, analyses, and administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
- 2+ years of experience In Finance or Accounting
- Experience with large automated accounting and reporting systems (preferably Oracle, Tableau, and HFM), including data extraction and report compilation is highly desired
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of US GAAP principles and local statutory accounting principles is highly desired
- Ability to work on-site at least 3 days per week (Brea, CA). You may be required to work additional days on site in the future and must be willing
