Your Mission

Blizzard Entertainment games don’t just begin with game ideas, or end once those games are released. A lot more goes into the creation of a Blizzard product than the work of developers—and we support our games for years after they’re in the hands of gamers worldwide.

As a Financial Analyst, you will assist with the company's forecast and annual budgeting processes. In addition, this person will provide financial strategic support to management including preparing financial presentations, financial analysis, and other projects requested by management.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

·       Prepare and analyze financial and operating reports including, but not limited to, operating statements, forecasts, variance analyses, budgets, cost trackers, and long-range plans

·       Perform month/quarter/annual close activities which include analyzing accounts, making journal entries, performing account reconciliations, preparing reports and financial statements, and resolving issues as needed

·       Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenues and expenses

·       Help streamline procedures and improve system efficiency

·       Monitor performance indicators, highlight trends, and analyze causes of unexpected variance

·       Support the management team and department heads with various analysis, reporting, and special projects as needed

·       Assist in preparing presentations and supporting materials for management

·       Deliver insights and support decision making related to the business

·       Act as a financial and strategic planning resource for diverse stakeholders within Blizzard

·       Additional departmental duties as needed

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, related areas, or 1-2 years of finance or accounting experience (May 2025 graduates may apply)

·       Strong accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment

·       Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate and consolidate inputs across multiple functions

·       Knowledge of general accounting, financial planning, and business fundamentals

·       Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to collaborate with global teammates

·       Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Extra points:

·       Experience with Hyperion and Essbase

·       Ability to demonstrate a passion for video games, especially Blizzard Entertainment products

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $55,800.00 - $103,230.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
