Position: Financial Analyst – Expenses

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Location: Atlanta GA              

About the Finance Team:

We are a goal-oriented team responsible for providing historical and future performance measures, profitability analysis, and data-driven insights. We present these findings to senior leadership to assist in financial decision making.  We work collaboratively to provide an exceptional level of financial support to the organization business leaders.

The Role:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and other strategic initiatives throughout the year as related to expense management.  The role will also be responsible for management reporting of operating expense results as well as other projects.  The person will work directly with key US leadership stakeholder to plan and forecast operating expenses.

The Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Manager over expense.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Financial Analyst:

  • Create forecast and budget expense submissions throughout the year

  • Assist with monthly close duties to analyze key expense movements, trends, and establish accruals as needed

  • Analyze expenses against forecast and budget scenarios to create management commentary

  • Maintain current models to load into our financial reporting tool (Oracle)

  • Develop a risk and opportunity analysis to show projected bands of performance

  • Coordinate with business-unit leaders to align finance results with business-unit expectations

  • Establish strong working relationships with other finance team members

  • Implement best practices

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of financial experience

  • Experience using Oracle and Hyperion systems is preferred

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills; able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing

  • Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals

  • Bachelors in a Business-Related Field, preferably Accounting or Finance.  MBA is preferred

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel

Salary Range: 70-80k

**Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our Atlanta (Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area) office weekly**
