Financial Analyst Senior - Corporate Finance

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. This role will be pivotal in driving process improvements, implementing technical innovations, and enhancing data visibility to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will be skilled in real estate investment analysis, advanced financial modeling, and leveraging tools like Power BI to create impactful, automated reporting solutions. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, this individual should be passionate about innovation and continuously improving financial processes to deliver better insights and efficiency.

Education/Certificates:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field (required)

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field (preferred)

  • CPA, CFA, or Microsoft PL-300 certification (plus)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in real estate investment or corporate finance

  • Experience in SQL, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or other Financial Planning software (plus)

  • Experience in multifamily real estate or real estate investment (preferred)

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • ​Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power BI

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

  • Ability to present complex financial data in a clear, actionable manner

  • Proactive and innovative mindset, with a desire to improve processes and systems

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Essential Duties:

  • Lead and assist in corporate budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial projections and capital planning

  • Prepare variance analysis and provide actionable insights on financial performance

  • Create and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support strategic decision-making

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data accuracy and availability for financial insights

  • Utilize Power BI or SQL to build financial dashboards and automate reporting

  • Identify and implement improvements in financial planning, reporting systems, and processes

The Senior Financial Analyst should excel at adopting and implementing new technologies while championing a culture of innovation and process modernization. By researching and evaluating emerging tools—such as Python, R, or AI/ML—and collaborating with IT and cross-functional stakeholders, this individual will optimize data integration and continuously refine financial workflows.

The ideal candidate will proactively identify process bottlenecks, propose automation solutions, and leverage advanced analytics techniques to enhance both efficiency and insight. Above all, they should demonstrate a drive to challenge the status quo, ensuring the finance function remains agile and at the forefront of industry best practices.

Estimated Rate of Pay:

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00

This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary.

The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any). In addition to base salary, Fairfield offers all full time associates the following, upon meeting eligibility requirements:

* Pay range is a calculation based on a midpoint price. Fairfield complies with all wage and hour laws, including minimum wage and salary exempt requirements.
