About the team:
As part of our finance team, you will join a top-notch environment with clear tasks/expectations that feed into the larger monthly financial goals. You will spend much of your day researching, maintaining balance sheets, making journal entries, and documenting progress.
About the role:
As a Financial Accountant, you will effectively work both individually and collaboratively to ensure accuracy, compliance and transparency in all financial reporting efforts. You’ll do this by researching and documenting and demonstrating your analytic skills and understanding of financial principles and laws. As part of a collaborative and learning culture, you will be working in a hybrid model during onboarding. Following onboarding, your work environment will be flexible.

This role is a key component of financial success at DHI. This position will be critical in ensuring compliance and strategy within all internal and external financial reporting.
Once hired, you will start by:
- Learning systems like Netsuite for accounting and CCH Workpaper Manager to document reconciliations and policies
- Utilizing Netsuite to analyze and research financial data to perform reconciliations
- Communicating amongst all teams in the organization to problem solve and produce solutions
- Assisting in preparing monthly reports to present to the leadership team
As you progress in this role, your key accountabilities will be:
- Having exposure to all aspects of the company financials, along with all levels of management.
- Serving as an expert on specific sections of financials and presenting during meetings.
- Analyzing data and assisting the financial analyst team
What you bring to the team:
Required:
- Foundational experience with financial reporting and auditing
- An independent thinker that can solve problems and effectively communicate solutions
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time
- Recognizing areas of weakness, seeking help to ensure financial accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Solid Microsoft Excel experience is a must
Preferred:
- Netsuite experience
- Foundational experience with Salesforce
- CPA license
Des Moines pay range: Base salary/pay per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
$60,000—$72,000 USD
