Job Description
Purpose for this role:
- Direct, determine, monitor, control and evaluate the implementation of:
- Financing activities, such as negotiation of financial provisions, financing business support, short-term and long-term loans, financial due diligence, allocation and withdrawal of loans or equity injections, and also ESG Financing.
- Financing risk activities, such as execution of market risk mitigation, credit and liquidity risk management.
- Treasury activities, such as cashflow management and optimization, treasury FX management execution, working capital management and optimization, and short-term placement planning.
Key Accountabilities:
- Management of financial control, reporting and financial business partnering teams
- Management of project approval process for Opex, Devex and CAPEX programmes
- Support for commercial growth, by supporting the management team in driving the commercial growth
- Drive comprehensive financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes. • Create a control environment, including financial accounting policies and processes to support growth. • Integrate with Masdar Group accounting policies and timetables.
- Coordinate with the Planning & Risk Management function in managing financial risks • Work with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Coordinate with the Controlling & Reporting function in review and monitor the effectiveness and objectivity of the auditor(s).
- Manage liquidity, cash flow and the treasury function, working closely with the CFO.
- Monitor the preparation, review and submit to the Planning & Risk Management function the proposed annual budget of the Corporate Finance function.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards (IFRS and GAAP).
- Work with department heads to prepare and monitor the Devex and Capex budgets, analyze the benefits and costs; recommending corrective actions if necessary.
- Manage the capital approval and drawdown processes with Masdar Group finance.
- Monitor the Company’s need for capital including optimizing capital structure

- Management of stakeholders and third party service providers
- Continuous improvement of policies, systems and processes

- Compliance with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree from a top-tier internationally recognized higher education institution
- Bachelor's in accounting, MUST be a qualified accountant CA, ACCA, CIMA, IFRS
Preferred Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in progressively more senior roles in accounting in a large and complex organization or equivalent experience
- At least four years as a financial controller or finance manager in a corporate or scale-up environment
- Experience working for an energy or other infrastructure organisation would be an advantage
- Some experience of working outside of a mainstream finance function or partnering with other commercial, analytical or operational parts of an organization would be an advantage
Job-Specific Skills:
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple on-going workstreams.
- Proven leadership with internal and external teams with ability to implement change management strategies.
- Financial modelling for long-life, infrastructure projects and commercial tenders.
- Proven ability to understand and integrate with other departments of an organisation.
- Understanding of how to build and maintain an appropriate finance function.
- Must show personal commitment to a safe working environment for their employees.
- Exceptional communication skills and able to work in a dynamic fast paced, diverse environment.
