What we’re looking for: 

Nexamp is looking for a Finance Manager to lead the Clean Energy Deployment (CED) Finance vertical within the Finance & Treasury team. Reporting to the VP of Finance & Treasury, this individual will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the CED business unit, including reforecasting solar project margins, budgeting and forecasting key revenue streams, and leading the internal strategy for financing IRA ITC adders. In close collaboration with Nexamp’s CED teams, the Finance Manager will play a vital role in driving company profitability. 

As a key contributor to Nexamp’s broader finance and operations strategy, this role will work cross-functionally with teams including Construction, Engineering, Supply Chain, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting. Additionally, the Finance Manager will mentor and develop a team of analysts, all focused on supporting CED financial operations and driving profitability. 

This is a hybrid position based in Nexamp’s Boston office. 

What you’ll do:  

  • Manage the financial operations for the Clean Energy Deployment (CED) business unit, including reforecasting solar project margins, budgeting, and forecasting CED and development fee revenues on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Additionally, prepare executive presentations for senior management and the C-suite. 
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses related to solar project construction timelines, inventory management, and overall operational strategy to align with company objectives and drive profitability. 
  • Assist in the execution of corporate budgeting and reforecasting processes by refining inputs based on historical trend analyses and actualized data, while also preparing investor reporting dashboards on a quarterly basis. 
  • Lead internal strategy and reporting for Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) ITC adders, with a focus on domestic content, and oversee execution of financing efforts with lenders, investors, and consultants. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including the development of standard and ad hoc reports, tools, dashboards, and automation initiatives (e.g., AI-driven enhancements). 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key business unit leaders to provide data-driven insights that inform tactical and strategic planning across Nexamp’s construction business. 
  • Mentor and manage a team of Finance Analysts, fostering their professional development to achieve department goals. 
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support the executive team as needed. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, solar project finance, or capital markets. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Strong modeling background required 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience in renewables, energy, or infrastructure is preferred but not required.  
  • Passion for Nexamp’s mission and a commitment to solving tomorrow’s climate challenges today. 
  • Proactive approach to process improvement, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in enhancing workflows, products, and services across the organization. 
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to ask the right questions, interpret data, identify root causes of issues, and propose creative solutions. 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration. 
  • Eagerness to develop a deep understanding of Nexamp’s operations and leverage that knowledge to drive informed business decisions.

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.

  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions. 
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry. 
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
