About the Position
As Finance Manager you will be a crucial part of our ambition to continue leading the development into the future and shaping financial strategies to drive growth. You will have a central role in the organization with overall responsibility for the company’s finances and accounting, while maintaining close contact with operations both locally and globally.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Ensuring accuracy of P&L, BS, CF
- Coordinating the annual budget/long range plan process; implements improved process and models
- Coordinating the monthly/quarterly financial cycle; accounting, actual closing, forecasting and reporting
- Coordinaing year-end closing and reporting, including statutory reporting as well as contact with external auditors
- Ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations, as well as compliance of tax, customs/duty and VAT
- Ensuring well-functioning ERP system in place
- Participate in the financial aspects of quote reviews and appropriation requests, including RS models, and AR checklists where applicable
- Coordinating implementation of improved control structure for investments, projects and product cost, including budgeting, actual follow-up and forecasting
- Participating in various financial analyses
BorgWarner is an American corporation, which means regular and thorough reporting. Therefore, it is a great advantage if you have experience with SOX and US GAAP.
As Finance Manager, you will lead a team of eight people, six of whom report directly to you, and you will be part of the local management team.
Background
To be successful and thrive in this role you will have a university degree in business administration or equivalent, along with a few years of experience in a similar role in an international organization, preferably a US based one.
You have a solid understanding of accounting and are accustomed to analyzing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow. Previous experience in auditing is advantageous, as well as experience in managing budget processes. You should have a strong interest in systems and experience with one of the major ERP and group reporting systems.

Your communication skills are excellent, and since we are an international corporation, it is important that you can communicate in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Leadership is an important part of the role, and we highly value your ability to lead and develop staff.
