Collaborate with Sr. Managing Directors, Sales and Operations, as well as Corporate functional owners to drive high quality, timely analysis that contributes to the performance and success of each Business Unit. Initiate, own and manage financial models for various projects and initiatives to set and measure key performance indicators. Be the financial partner for assigned Sr. Managing Director(s) and their teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and prepare executive level commentary regarding variance, trends, opportunities, risk, business drivers and influence forecasting assumptions
- Evaluate and escalate process improvement opportunities within the Business Units and Markets supported
- Liaison with Business Support Services Manager on key initiatives to drive financial performance
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual analysis and forecasts
- Drive high quality, timeline analysis that contribute to the performance and success of Business Unit Supported
- Proactive review of Cap Ex needs, plans, budgets and spend including assisting Market Leader with preparation of necessary modeling or analysis to support Cap Ex requests
- Participate in development of FP&A analyst associates
- Communicate financial information to management and other staff
- Build and maintain strong business relationships across multiple departments in the organization
Education & Experience:
- Business degree
- 5 to 7 years work experience
- Strong to advanced Excel skills (i.e. financial modeling) and other financial software tools
- Strong knowledge of Funeral Home and Cemetery operations
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel 15%
- Self-starter
- Ability to direct activities of 1 to 3 analyst associates
- Demonstrate excellence in business analytics and data tools, along with being proficient/advanced in Excel
Management / Supervisory Responsibility:
Manage, mentor, and develop analyst’s financial and technical skill set
