We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a GL (General Ledger) Finance Executive. As a GL Finance Executive, you will play a key role in managing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. You will collaborate closely with various departments within the organization to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.


Your Adventures Ahead

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and monthly management account
  • Conduct analysis of financial data in management account to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and support.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and participate in finance-related projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Provide guidance and accounting advice to team members whenever necessary.

Essentials to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred.
  • Proven 1-2 years of work experience as a GL Accountant, or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems. Experience Oracle Netsuite will be an added advantage.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and data manipulation.
  • Prior experience in reconciling data from Payment Service Providers will be an added advantage. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive working relationships.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
