Job Summary: The Finance Director, ISC leads a talented team responsible delivering financial planning, forecasting, reporting, cost accounting for the ISC organization while partnering with the ISC leadership team to drive delivery performance and compliance to our customers, cost efficiency for the corporation and cash optimization. This will include productivity and performance reporting and actions, project and product accounting, financial planning and analysis, and financial modelling support in organic and strategic growth. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the financial oversight and driving the financial performance of a project / product group representing a significant portion of the Segments business volume and usually accountable over multiple sites in the United States and/or globally.
- Provides finance leadership to the Integrated Supply chain in support of daily operations, supply planning, transitions activities and ad hoc support requests.
- Organizes and drives teams to improve cash and cost performance for ISC including material, labor and overhead productivity, inventory and sourcing, and purchase models.
- Responsible for business capital allocation decisions via CAPEX, R&D, and other organic investments
- Manages the organisation’s finance systems efficiently and effectively to maximise the resources available to achieve strategic and operational objectives to ensure achievement of revenue, profit, cash, and financial return targets as well as future business growth.
- Requires the ability to change the thinking of / or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations
- Develops and maintain a sound understanding of the strategic needs of the business and proactively contribute to the development of those needs through Finance teams
- Partners with Segment and Corporate FP&A departments to prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Establishes first class systems and metrics to monitor performance of the business against budget.
- Develops and maintain a monthly reporting, forecasting and benchmarking tool.
- Identify key financial trends which positively and negatively impact the organization along with communicating these impacts on a timely basis
- Ensures that financial management systems/financial policy framework are supported by internal financial standards and controls that conform with US GAAP
- Leads and develop a top talent direct team of ~5 FTE
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance with at least ten years progressive finance and project accounting experience required, preferably in a large organization.
- An MBA and CPA Certification are desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with general ledger, P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Must have experience managing employees and leading teams or functions for 5 years.
- Ability to identify, summarize and extract key issues from complex contractual arrangements.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Displays an entrepreneurial approach to the business constantly securing opportunities for improvement. Has the ability to communicate a vision & business strategy to the team and formulate plans to achieve the vision.
- Ability to identify areas of under-performance and agree plans to rectify.
- Must be self-motivated, pragmatic, and able to work independently.
- Diligent, with attention to detail.
- Able to problem solve and find effective and timely resolutions.
- Ability to motivate and lead others to achieve individual and shared goals.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to share knowledge, coach and collaborate effectively with individuals and other departments.
- Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to multi task and ruthlessly prioritize.
- Ability to occasionally travel for extended periods and internationally.
- Financial experience in a manufacturing environment and service-based organization are highly desirable.

Cubic Pay Range:
$105k -$145k* + benefits.

Cubic Pay Range:
$125,000.00 - $170,000.00* + benefits.
*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.
