The Opportunity
The Group Financial Planning team act as the analytical engine of the company to provide data driven insights to the CFO and CEO, to optimise decision making.
We provide management information that supports our expectations of the Group's future performance, be it in the near term, mid-term or long-term. We challenge the assumptions of the divisions and use history to validate forecasts. We act as the warning system.
As a Finance Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team in various financial analysis and reporting tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial analysis, data interpretation, and contribute to decision-making processes within the organisation. You will work closely with senior finance professionals to provide financial data, generate reports and KPI dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Producing and distributing daily, weekly and monthly reports on performance of the business
- Analysis of KPI data to allow informed management decisions.
- Collaborate with team members on ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
- Identify, quantify and prioritise opportunities to drive continuous improvement and data quality.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations, reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
Skills and qualifications:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Dealing with large data sets
- Understanding of financial models
- Strong communication skills
- Power BI knowledge desirable
- Strong analytical skills and a curious mindset
