The Opportunity
This position is responsible for supporting payroll department inquiries and responding to internal and external stakeholders. The internal stakeholders include the XR Pay client service teams, Payroll Tax and Corporate Accounting teams. The external stakeholders include employees, Talent agents, attorneys and governmental authorities. This role is also responsible for a high volume of activities requiring prioritization to ensure all tasks are completed within their designated deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Alert stakeholders of any issues that arise in a timely, clear and concise manner; updating those affected in an effort to mitigate financial risk to the company.
- Respond to all Wage Garnishment and Lein inquiries in an expedited manner.
- Maintain updated minor trust records and ensure any withholdings not remitted to a trust accounts are remitted to the state within the guidelines of each state.
- Set up talent overpayment records which include establishing record in the system and ensure that Talent Managers send the notification letter(s) to the employees, accumulate supporting paperwork and issue credits when applicable.
- Work through subpoenas, verification of employment, unemployment and legal notices. Route to legal department for direction and respond within time period required.
- Act as a consultant and provide support services to XR Pay client service teams for any billing and payroll related questions.
- Provide support services to employees for any payroll tax form inquiries, W4 changes and year-end reporting inquiries.
- Provide detailed and concise support for audit inquiries whether for financial statements, unions, or clients.
- Maintain organized and thorough support for all inquiries and adjustments.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Customer Service support including 1-3 years of experience supporting payroll operations
- Experience with USA Payroll database software applications and reports
- Advanced English language skills (written and spoken)
- Proven ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines; highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Proven ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from the manager to accomplish objectives
- Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively cross-functionally and with all levels of employees, management, and external advisors to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and delivering results
