The goal of this activity is to provide support to government-led education systems to strengthen these and incentivize greater ownership of, and investment in, the education sector by the Government of the Republic of South Sudan (GRSS), to help strengthen the social contract and build functioning education institutions to enable future development.

Position Description

The Finance and Administration Lead will be responsible for the overall financial management and administration of the project.

This position is contingent upon award by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the Government of the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a master’s degree in finance, business administration, or relevant discipline.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in accounting, operations, and financial management of large-scale, complex, international development assistance programs.
  • Strong track records of managing international and national finance teams and staff.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience, interpersonal skills and team building experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in developing and managing large budgets, including proficiency in relevant computer applications and databases.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Language:

Fluency in oral and written English is required.
