Position Summary:

The Finance & Accounting Manager will work closely with the Managing Shareholder and Chief Financial Officer to closely monitor and prepare withholding tax (WHT) and value-added tax (VAT) for the firm’s Riyadh regional headquarter office. This position will also work on special projects and may receive ad hoc report requests from senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to effectively meet the needs of the various stakeholders. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the accounting/finance/revenue management functions of the office. Develops and manages office budget and monitors financial performance.

  • Develops, forecasts, and analyzes budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual expenditures.

  • Prepares monthly WHT and VAT (input) data templates and share with the tax consultants for the WHT and VAT returns preparation purposes.

  • Prepares and analyzes accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

  • Develops, implements, modifies, and documents recordkeeping and accounting systems.

  • Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expense or to provide advice.

  • Processes month-end balancing and journal entries and standard reports.

  • Performs general ledger analysis and reconciliation of accounts.

  • Provides support for internal clients on budget control.

  • Liaises with internal and external auditors as needed.

  • Records and validates monthly vendor invoices in ERP in line with KSA VAT regulations; prepares, initiates and validates monthly vendor payments in ERP.

  • Records collection receipts from vendors and allocates them accordingly.

  • Prepares monthly closing schedules related to accounts payable / accounts receivable, fixed assets and general ledger.

  • Reviews debit / credit card / petty cash reconciliations.

  • Performs reconciliations of vendors ledgers by obtaining periodic balance confirmations from the vendors, banks, petty cash, debit & credit cards and other GL accounts, as well as resolving discrepancies.

  • Abides by all regulations and internal control processes and procedures.

  • Coordinates with U.S. finance and accounting team for monthly / quarterly and annual closing of books.

  • Performs additional ad-hoc accounting and finance activities as requested.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles, reporting standards, budgeting processes, and relevant legislation.

  • Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a time sensitive environment.

  • Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks.

  • High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.

  • Fluent in Arabic and English.

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • Minimum 7-10 years experience of related experience with a minimum of [3] years experience in KSA and familiar with Etimad portal and ZATCA systems.

  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.

  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
