An exciting opportunity to join the Mars Wrigley team working in our Newcastle Territory has become available! In this customer facing sales role, you will interact with our grocery customers across Coles, Woolworths & Metcash.

You will be accountable for driving sales through optimal distribution and physical availability of our brands across prime in-store locations.

Additionally, you will drive the quality of displays, delivering excellent execution in line with Perfect Store ambitions and building influential relationships with key stakeholders to deliver incremental business and category growth.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in sales or analytical roles would be beneficial to this role.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build strong and influential relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong commercial awareness, selling and negotiation skills with a demonstrated drive for results and passion for sales.

  • Proven track record of creative problem solving & delivering results.

  • Comfortable operating in a KPI driven environment with the ability to take action to address gaps and build plans for growth.

  • Driven, self-reliant and resilient and able to respond and adapt to a fast moving, swiftly changing environment.

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise, resolve competing demands and determine necessary sequence of activities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data from a mix of data sources (Power BI, Excel) and translate insights into relevant strategies for your territory.

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment which requires the ability to work independently towards a team goal and take ownership of results.

What will be your key responsibilities?

You will be responsible for the delivery of the NSV growth and key KPIs within your territory, ensuring key learnings and insights are leveraged and built into future thinking.
 

  • You will drive growth, customer engagement and perfect store picture of success through:

    • Developing strong and influential relationships with key customers.

    • Driving optimal points of distribution and physical availability of Mars’ brands.

    • Achieving excellent execution and drive quality of displays in line with picture of success objectives across all physical locations and outlets.

    • Negotiating and implementing incremental permanent and temporary locations using stock control expertise and supply chain procedures.

  • Build a good understanding of Category and Shopper principles and be able to use this knowledge effectively in customer interactions

  • Provide clear direction and accountability to key merchandising representatives to execute all customer activations.

  • Analyse and interpret reporting on key KPI data to identify opportunities in store & leverage these to drive incremental sales growth.

Travel Requirements

  • You will work remotely and be responsible for travelling to visit customers over your assigned territory.

  • This territory does not require any regular overnight stays however from time to time will require travel outside of territory for meetings.

  • This position requires a valid Full Driver’s License.
