Why be a Field Sales & Education Manager at THG?

The role of the Sales & Education Executive is to help manage retail store sales, launch initiatives, inventory, in-store product merchandising over overall education programs for the region. 

Demonstrating training and selling support to designated stores within the territory to help achieve overall weekly/monthly retail sales target. Serves as a key liaison between Biossance Brand and Sephora in store teams to positively build and maximize brand awareness with Sephora teams/ stores.

In this role you would be responsible for the following countries within SEA: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and India. There may be additional travel outside of these countries on occasion. 

You will be required to travel across multiple locations within each country regularly with your key area of work being Singapore. Your working days will be Tuesday – Saturday.  
Reporting to: Sales & Education Manager Asia Pacific 

As a Field Sales & Education Manager, you'll:

Training

  • Regular instore trainings with key doors, strengthening brand and product knowledge, keeping Biossance front-of-mind for all Sephora BAs
  • Partner with Sales and Education Manager in identifying training opportunities in markets and hold larger scale education events – i.e. Classroom training
  • Act as an ambassador for Biossance, always maintaining a professional appearance and attitude both in person and across social channels
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with all levels of Sephora Field and Store Leadership

Driving Sales

  • Responsible for managing SEA markets to drive growth and working collaboratively with Sephora to deliver sales objectives
  • Ensure in-store merchandising and brand presentation is consistent with brand guidelines, supporting VM updates in a timely manner and providing feedback
  • Maintain strong inventory focus, working with Sephora to manage out of stocks and escalate where necessary
  • Work closely with Sales and Education Manager on new Sephora store openings in SEA, including merchandising and store-opening trainings and activities as required
  • Turn around poor performing doors through time and effort spent in store developing teams and ensuring strong partnerships with Store and Regional Managers
  • Challenge assumptions about performance through careful analysis of the data, knowledge of the people, and finding and acting on the underlying causes of poor performance
  • Regular communication with Sales & Education Manager and provide weekly recaps on store performance and market specific highlights
  • Use Sales data to plan time in store and travel needs
  • Assist Sales and Education Manager manage Biossance BA Instagram ensuring regular content posting and creating locally relevant content eg videos. Continue to build followers and engagement
  • Build strong business relationships with Sephora field, stores, management teams to build brand love
  • Ability to plan and execute minor and major special events in stores to drive sales (i.e. Beauty Studios)
  • Be a Biossance Ambassador in store, building brand love and knowledge

What skills & experience do I need for this role?

  • Minimum of 5 years Account Executive / Education Executive in the cosmetics industry, Sephora experience a plus
  • Enjoys working for fast pace, fast growth company
  • Passion for selling & training Beauty in an instore environment
  • Monthly store visits, report on inventory levels, and track sales performance by door
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to create, inspire, & coach
  • Role can require standing for up to 6 hours at a time and at times, ability to lift cartons as needed between 10-40 lbs
  • Build strong business relationships with stores sales teams and management
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (i.e.: verbal, written, group presentation and through facilitation)
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and able to create and update PPT presentations
  • Ability for overnight travel for some geographic markets, based on home base
  • Position requires a flexible work schedule, to include weekends, some evenings, and specific holidays
  • Black - out periods based on retailer calendars and events
  • Clean driving record according to company criteria. Owns reliable, insured car in good working condition
  • Ability to speak Thai a plus
