Calix is looking for an intern to join our Field Marketing team for the summer. The Calix Summer Internship program is a unique and award-winning program that will provide you with education into Calix and an opportunity to get inside experience into a dynamic and high-performing marketing organization. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning.
In this role, you will help drive the building of a new program for customer storytelling within Calix along with assisting as needed with our executive engagement programs. This opportunity will provide you with an opportunity to learn how we leverage customer stories to enable our marketing and sales teams to drive new business. This role will provide exposure to different products, solutions, and teams across Calix. We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketing and creating new processes and content. This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring Sales or Marketing student to come into a high growth, fast paced environment and get real hands-on experience building a new marketing process. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work with key internal stakeholders to support the development of a customer story library
- Help create processes to refresh and update that library as needed.
- Research best practices in customer storytelling to help build a best-in-class program.
- Help identify customers who should be part of the customer story library and work with internal resources to create those stories.
- Assist as needed with existing executive engagement programs at Calix
Qualifications:
- Working towards a marketing/communication/business/sales degree. Preference will be given to students who have completed their Junior or Senior Years and who have previous work or internship experience.
- Good writing skills.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new apps and platforms.
- Team player.
- Experience in a role or project requiring organization and process.
- Strong communication skills with all levels of an organization.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to work effectively in a remote environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast changing environments.
- Microsoft Office software suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Able to work for the complete summer break (May - Aug).
- Prefer a rising Junior or Senior but will consider rising a rising Sophomore with experience.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:
21.85 - 28.75 USD Hourly
National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:
19.00 - 25.00 USD Hourly
Regional plus NY:
17.10 - 22.50 USD Hourly
