Overview
SRAM's focus on building customer loyalty, building stronger relationships with key customers and retailers. Educating, supporting, and promoting SRAM products, while investing in community building, are key to our success. Dedicated to increasing retail partner loyalty and advocacy for the SRAM brands. This role will manage direct key retail partners across segments and markets, while developing partnerships focused on OE & DI sales teams, riders, advocacy efforts, and grassroots marketing with the goal of achieving maximum lifetime value from the entire customer base.
Responsibilities
- Commit to increasing retail partner sales while building loyalty, and advocacy for the SRAM brands in an assigned market, state, or city.
- Execute corporate and retail model year sales strategies.
- Establish, maintain, and track your strong relationships and partnerships with key retailers, SRAM OE and DI customer sales reps to build community to support sustainable sales growth and mindshare.
- Use a value selling approach to create stoke and excitement through Features and Benefit clinics/education at key retailers on the SRAM suite of brands.
- Organize, support, and/or execute OE and AM activations linked to New or existing product and brand in season direction based on the life cycle of the product.
- Provide product experiences to customers and riders which include, but not limited to demo bikes, demo wheels, hand samples, sample/seed product.
- Support brand messaging at Events, Retail, Social Media, and in the Community.
- Local Event partnership that is tied to our corporate and retail strategies (inclusive of Retail Experiences and Retail Appreciation activity).
- Knowing and understanding key community influencers whether that be at Retail or within our suite of Ambassadors, Athletes, or key Community partners.
- Provide key market intel on a weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly basis to key stakeholders at SRAM.
- Adhere, maintain, and develop through established Standard Work and best practices.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in business, marketing, sales, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years professional experience in the outdoor and/or bicycle industry, with a focus on retail marketing/sales or similar.
- Extensive knowledge of SRAM products and its competitors.
- Shows genuine interest and curiosity about customers' business needs and thinks creatively about how we can help solve those issues.
- Proficient communication skills - written, oral and live in front of an audience.
- Experience with key digital marketing channels, including but not limited to social media, email marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) preferred.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Insightly, or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to travel 100% of the time in their market, 30% of the time in region, 0-3% nationally/internationally
- Ability to drive for long periods of time to meet with customers (up to 6 hours).
- Flexibility in travel and work hours to support customer needs.
- Current and sustained clean driving record.
- Ability to stand at events for long periods of time.
- Ability to ride a bike preferred.
- Ability to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Salary range is $75,000 + up to 45% based on skills and experience level (this salary range is specific to the Field Guide role in the Northern California territory, which covers the San Francisco Bay Area, Monterey, Fresno, and other cities in the area).
