Strategy Consulting Team (SCT) seeks an experienced and motivated federal human resource (HR) specialist to support federal agencies HR divisions. This individual will apply their knowledge and experience in federal human resource (HR) policy, organizational transformation, workforce reshaping, communications, and project management to support initiatives across the human capital lifecycle. As a key contributor to client projects, the human resource consultant will work independently and collaboratively as an effective team member and may work onsite with the client.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing organizational analysis and HR support in any reorganization.
  • Ensuring current and accurate position descriptions (PDs) for the organization’s personnel. This includes developing and updating PDs.
  • Implement Reductions-In-Force (RIFs).
  • Classifying position descriptions.
  • Providing project management and communications support for HR initiatives.
  • Assisting with the development and coordination of recommended process improvement changes.
  • Developing trusting relationships with clients and with SCT team.
  • Communicating frequently with SCT team members, project lead, and management.

Education

  • Minimum BA or BS degree.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a professional work environment, including 3+ years of experience in federal government human resources and/or 3+ years of consulting experience in HR and human capital management.
  • Experience with project or task management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
