Job Description

- Establish and maintain quality requirements for raw materials for use in Production.

- Ensure that raw material specifications and control limits are established and updated appropriately –supplier specification.

- Manage and monitor supplier performance, improvement activities, performance feedback to supplier for material issue.

- Fully understand supplier’s manufacturing process, control methods, measurement and quality system for developing raw material FMEA.

- Drive the improvement of quality and performance of suppliers' quality systems including management of change and notification protocols, root cause investigation, documentation and reporting and non-conforming material review systems.

- Support trouble shooting of supplied material issues and facilitate Root Cause Investigations (RCI) related to supplied materials impact on final product performance and develop mitigation strategies to prevent excursions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering.

- 2+ years combined experience in Engineering, Quality or Continuous Improvement Engineering is required.

- Demonstrated experience with risk tools such as FMEA’s and understanding of statistical techniques including Control Charts, Gage R&R is required.

- Required to have proficient computer skills such as advanced Excel and Power Point use.

- Moderate English communication skill in both writing and speaking.

- Demonstrated experience using formal problem solving methodologies such as 8D, RCCA, QC problem solving story, 5 why, FMEA, or others. (preferred)

- Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers on technical projects such as development, improvement, or problem solving related to electric material. (preferred).
