Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to understand requirements, business cases, and user stories, and to apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to design, develop, and test applications meeting the acceptance criteria. This involves understanding and applying one or more software or scripting languages, which may include developing new applications or enhancing and maintaining existing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as Liaison with Business Analysts and/or internal/external clients to ensure that requirements are understood
- Produces and executes unit test cases as defined by the team
- Maintains coding standards
- Produces supporting technical and installation documentation for internal and external publication as appropriate
- Achieves productivity targets to ensure deliverables are met within budget, on schedule and defined quality standards
- Completes all necessary software and non-software components in the timelines as defined by the Scrum Team/Project Manager
- Produces technical specifications, code and/or unit test plans in line with the traceability matrix/functional specification
- Guides the team to improve quality and productivity
- Suggests improvement to established processes
- Evaluates estimate and asks appropriate questions to derive better estimates
- Comes up with proof of concepts for new ideas or complex solutions
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
Work Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant work experience; 2-3 years at the Expert level or equivalent experience preferred
Certifications:
- Azure (or equivalent) Development Certification preferred
- Appropriate SAFe certification preferred
Knowledge Skills and abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of Angular framework, including the latest versions, and experience in building complex applications.
- Strong skills in TypeScript, which is the primary language for Angular development.
- Expertise in HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design and pre-processors like SASS or LESS.
- Proficiency in using RxJS for reactive programming and managing asynchronous data streams in Angular.
- Experience with state management libraries such as NgRx or Akita for managing application state.
- Skills in integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs, including handling authentication and data binding.
- Familiarity with Angular CLI for project scaffolding, building, and testing, as well as tools like Webpack.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jasmine and Karma for unit testing, and Protractor or Cypress for end-to-end testing.
- Knowledge of optimizing front-end performance, including lazy loading, code splitting, and efficient change detection strategies.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes, particularly using Azure DevOps for deploying and managing front-end applications.
Work Arrangements:
- Standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements.
- Primarily works in a standard office environment or remotely.
- May require after-hours, on-call support, and/or holidays.
- On-call and after-hours work during peak times, including end of month/quarter/year; during this time PTO is limited to meet business needs.
