Job Overview
As an Expert in SMB Sales Development (SDR) at T-Mobile for Business, you'll play a crucial role in driving our growth by identifying and creating new business opportunities through cold outbound prospecting within the small and medium business segment.
Your efforts will help build a robust pipeline for our sales team. By engaging with prospects and understanding their needs, you'll contribute significantly to expanding our customer base and driving our overall success. Your role is essential in uncovering potential leads and setting the stage for our sales team to close deals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prospect: Conduct cold outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to generate new business leads.
- Manage data and records: Managing and cleansing data in the Salesforce CRM system, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities.
- Communicate with prospects: Emailing and calling prospects to understand and build their interest in TFB solutions.
- Follow processes: Carefully following the follow-up sequence, lead management process in Salesforce, and the qualification process to qualify leads.
- Provide feedback: Providing feedback to the Marketing team on lead quality, processes, and performance.
- Qualify leads: Qualify leads and set appointments for the sales team.
- Research: Research and identify potential customers and key decision-makers within target accounts in the small to mid-sized business space.
- Collaborate: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine outreach strategies.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Less than 2 years Call center/sales experience Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Sales Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals. Experience in outbound sales and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. (Preferred)
- Communication Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and build relationships with clients and team members. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. (Required)
- Client Relationship Management Ability to establish and cultivate initial client relationships, including setting up meetings and connecting with key contacts within the organization. Experience in managing first impressions, understanding client needs, and laying the groundwork for future business opportunties. (Preferred)
- Organizational Skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. (Required)
- Self-Motivation Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently. (Required)
- Teamwork Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals. (Required)
- CRM Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and other sales enablement tools. (Preferred)
- Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. (Required)
