About the Role:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating expense data for financial reporting while assisting with other financial reporting activities on an as needed basis. This is a hybrid role (3 days in office/2 days remote) based out of our Warren, NJ office.

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Analyze expense trends, variances, and drivers on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Coordinate and collect monthly expense accruals across the US Departments.

  • Help develop and maintain the operating expense forecasts for the Insurance division.

  • Compile and analyze data to be included in quarterly executive reports.  Identify and perform focused analytics of key performance drivers.

  • Track and analyze headcount data, including hiring, attrition, and workforce planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in financial analysis, or related roles, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Planning Analytics, SmartView).

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting processes, and financial performance metrics.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
