The Opportunity

Abbott is seeking an Executive Recruiter to serve in a lead client-facing role and “own” a functional segment such as Operations (manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, etc.) or Scientifics (quality, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, etc.) in support of key leadership openings. In this role, the executive recruiter will provide candidate research, lead generation, initial interviews, and client submittals as part of an in-house executive recruitment team that supports all divisions and business functions.

Operating out of a major hub location, this opportunity offers exposure to core elements and players of the Abbott enterprise, and serves as a brand ambassador attracting top talent. It is a critical role that has a dramatic impact on candidate experience and business performance. Individuals should have years of direct responsibility for contacting, cultivating and submitting passive candidates. Experience supporting diversity recruitment preferred.

What You’ll Work On

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Drive the recruitment strategies, client relationships and business knowledge/learning for a key business function
  • Cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders across Talent Acquisition (TA) and Human Resources (HR)
  • Contribute to overall achievement of the executive recruitment team and broader TA

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Source passive candidates and provide diverse slates of candidates
  • Interview, evaluate and recommend candidates
  • Provide recruitment and customer service for multiple client groups
  • Collaborate to define position requirements, sourcing strategies and action plans
  • Deliver research-oriented talent mappings and insights projects
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with recruiters and candidates
  • Ensure Workday and CRM database are updated in an accurate and timely manner
  • Build and maintain active CRM talent pools
  • Codify and govern sourcing best practices and tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 6+ years of recruitment experience
  • 25+% of experience in 1 functional segment
  • 25+% of experience in Director-plus and/or Retained recruitment
  • 25+% of experience in client-facing roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device industry
  • Experience at in-house corporations
  • Experience with Fortune 500 client base
  • Experience coordinating and/or coaching junior team members
  • Mobility to relocate for future career opportunities

The base pay for this position is

$75,300.00 – $150,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
