FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To lead and drive the content direction for digital platforms, ensuring the creation and promotion of engaging and original content that aligns with the brand and meets audience growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily collaborative meetings focused on content selection, publication, and promotion.
  • Create and produce compelling content suitable for all platforms, guiding a team to do the same.
  • Develop a digital content playbook to ensure consistency in employee output and brand alignment.
  • Set and strive to meet viewership and engagement goals for CTV, CTV App, and website.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms to drive audience growth through creative storytelling, leveraging analytics to identify and act on growth opportunities.
  • Strategically collaborate with partners across Sports, Community, and Programming to maximize the utilization of free content.
  • Enhance the quality and quantity of digital stories in coordination with line producers, reporters, anchors, and assignment desk personnel.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Digital Content and reports to the VP of News and Streaming Content

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a digital or newsroom setting.
  • Unique, proven track record in growing digital audience in the Chicago market on various platforms
  • Strong understanding of digital content creation, with an emphasis on multimedia and interactive elements.
  • Expertise in viewer engagement and social media platforms with a track record of audience growth.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and pivot strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across departments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $115,000.00-125,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $95,800.00-104,100.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
