This role is responsible for:

• Prepare reports as required by GHO, RHO, Management, Business Units and Local Regulator.
• Perform PSA General Ledger closing, reconciliation and analysis function.
• Assist in financial planning and forecasting of PSA.
• Ad hoc - To provide analysis, reports and support the internal management to ensure a smooth operation.

Job Responsibilities:

1.  Prepare reports as required by GHO, RHO, Management, Business Units and Local Regulator on time, accurate and complied.

• Prepares financial statements according to approved accounting standards.
• Preparation of Quarterly Report submission for Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and statistical report.
• Preparation of regional reports and GHO reports such as MIS, Hyperion, disclosure.
• Prepare reports to Business Units according to requirements, and provide useful analysis to the Business Units
• Coordinate and preparation of external audit. Liaise with external auditor to ensure the Company financial statements and accounting matters with auditors been address to ensure timely finalization of audited accounts.

2.  Perform PSA General Ledger closing, reconciliation and analysis function.

• Maintenance of general ledger of Prudential Services Asia to ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Ensure all journals are accurately prepared, and obtain proper approvals for posting.
• Prepare all SL/GL Reconciliations and detailed account analysis including GST input & output tax account balance.
• Ensure Interco balances are reconciled on a monthly basis
• Prepare of Balance Sheet schedules

3. Perform analysis of PSA expenses to ensure compliance of Corporate tax. Consolidation of financial information for corporate tax submission and provide assistance and documentation on tax queries by regulator on the PSA financial records;

4.  Assist in financial planning and forecasting of PSA.

• Involvement in annual financial planning of PSA to ensure timely preparation and submission of PSA financial budget.
• Prepare PSA forecast financial results.

5.  Work with AP & AR team for monthly closing schedule and ensures GL is closed on a timely basis.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/ Commerce  or Professional Qualification eg ACCA, CIMA, CPA  or equivalent
• At least 2 - 3 years’ experience in related field
• Eye for details, and strict in enforcing required controls and policies
• Basic understanding in financial accounting principles and book keeping
• Basic analysis skill
• Organized and prioritization skill. Ability to complete work on schedule
• Able to work independently
• Good team player with interpersonal communication skill
• Experience with Sun GL is an added advantage
