The Executive Director of Digital Products is responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap and delivery for a portfolio of innovative digital products and solutions for Labcorp. This role combines expertise in healthcare, digital transformation and product management expertise to create digital products that address core customer needs, improve customer experience and drive business growth.  This role will lead Labcorp’s digital product and user experience design efforts for our website, intranet and Ovia, a leading mobile app focused on women’s health.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the development of digital products including websites and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align digital product strategies with business growth goals and objectives.
  • Ensure digital products meet regulatory requirements and are compliant with healthcare industry standards

Product Development & Innovation:

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle from ideation to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectives.
  • Understand customer needs and ensure product roadmaps address key opportunities to improve customer experience
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for digital product innovations
  • Guide cross-functional teams in design, development, and scaling of digital products to meet the needs of healthcare providers, patients, biopharma and other stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of product managers and designers focused on digital healthcare solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative culture across departments (business, technology, science and medical, marketing, regulatory, etc.) to ensure successful product development and market introduction.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for direct reports.

Market and Industry Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of the latest healthcare trends, digital health technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact digital product strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify gaps and opportunities for new digital products.

Performance & KPIs:

  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of digital products.
  • Optimize product performance based on data-driven insights and user feedback to maximize adoption and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure financial targets are met, and resources are allocated effectively across product development initiatives.
  • Manage the digital product development budget and resources efficiently to ensure timely delivery of products within budget.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA, Master’s in Healthcare Management, or advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management, with a strong track record of delivering digital solutions in the healthcare, life sciences, or related sectors including websites and mobile applications.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving digital transformation in complex, regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare systems, patient workflows, and the evolving digital health landscape.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in digital product management, agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage with executive teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, big data analytics, and cloud-based solutions in the healthcare space.

Preferences:

  • Experience with digital health solutions like EHR/EMR, telemedicine platforms, websites, and mobile health apps.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows, healthcare reimbursement models, and payer-provider dynamics.

Pay Range: $225-250k annual salary

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

The position is also eligible for equity as well as an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan.  Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.  Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.  For more detailed information, please click here
