ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for establishing and leading this critical function to ensure the efficient infrastructure, processes, and technologies necessary for the future successful commercialization of Kura Oncology’s portfolio.

  • Oversee field effectiveness and operations, including territory planning, sales performance tracking and analytics, incentive programming, and the development and delivery of customer engagement and sales enablement tools.
  • In collaboration with sales and marketing leadership, lead sales performance reporting and operational reporting
  • Lead team to support the build, implementation, and maintenance of sales tools, including CRM, data analytics, and sales dashboards, in collaboration with commercialization partner as appropriate.
  • Oversee market insights, analytics and competitive intelligence to deliver data driven business recommendations.
  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of databases and infrastructure to support analytics, insights, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to the leadership team through analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop competitive incentive compensation plans that attract, reward, and retain top talent.
  • Collaborate across multiple functions, including Commercial Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Clinical Development and IT.
  • Oversee external vendors and consultants supporting Commercial Operational platforms and resource needs for data analytics, meeting planning, competitive intelligence, IC planning, market research, and other areas as required.
  • Serve as non-voting member of the appropriate commercialization committees with US commercialization partner Kyowa Kirin, ensuring alignment across teams while driving resolution of commercial operation challenges as required.
  • Manage the annual budget for the Commercial Operations organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a deep understanding of sales, , insights & analytics and operations functions within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 5 years of management experience, leading high-performance teams across diverse functions.
  • Experience working in oncology required, with a strong preference for prior experience in hematology/oncology
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior management and establish effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional skills in proactivity, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, and plan execution.
  • Exceptional ability to evaluate and analyze a significant amount of data, turning into actionable insights for executive level communication
  • Organized and logical, with a high degree of flexibility to change direction when needed.
  • Self-starter and team player: A confident self-starter who can work independently and creatively, while also being a team player.

The base range for an Executive Director is $260,554 - $308,104 per year. Individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including, and without limitation, job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training. Kura's compensation package also includes generous benefits, equity, and participation in an annual target bonus.

Tipifarnib, a potent and selective farnesyl transferase inhibitor (FTI), is currently in a Phase 1/2 trial in combination with alpelisib for patients with PIK3CA-dependent head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (KURRENT-HN). Kura is also evaluating KO-2806, a next-generation FTI, in a Phase 1 dose-escalation trial as a monotherapy and in combination with targeted therapies (FIT-001).
