Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure effective management of regulatory changes and provide advice to Management on applicability and implementation of laws, rules and regulations pertinent to PruBSN
a. Obtain and properly disseminate new, revised or draft laws, rules and regulations pertinent to PruBSN
b. Acquire understanding of applicable regulatory requirements to enable to assist with provision of accurate advice during consultation with Business Units.
c. Assist with timely assessment of new guidelines issued to identify any gaps and potential impact/implications to the business.
d. Assist with the half-yearly review and self-assessment by the Compliance Champions (CC) on their departmental Regulatory Compliance Matrixs (RCM).
e. Evaluate the adequacy of the manner of compliance stated in the departmental RCMs.
f. Evaluate Monthly Compliance Report provided by CCs on business related compliance risk matters.
2. Assist to provide platform and process to track, monitor and escalate compliance issues to Group, EXCO, BAC and Board on an ongoing basis
a. Prepare periodical and ad hoc reports to Group, EXCO, BAC and BOARD within stipulated timeline. b. Highlight / Escalate material compliance issues and mitigation actions to the Management and Board.
3. Assist in Compliance culture enhancement
a. Assist to embed compliance processes within the business supported by regular communication and awareness programme.
b. Assist to develop engagement, training and communication programme for the CC.
4. Assist in ensuring the departments meets with standards and requirements set in managing overall PruBSN’s Compliance Risk
a. Assist to review departmental policies and procedures and ensure it is updated from time to time. b. b. Provide support and back-up members within the Compliance team as and when requested.
