The Billing Operations Executive is part of the EMEA Working Capital Management team within the UK Finance Department. Reporting to one of the Billing Operations Supervisors, you will ensure the effective delivery of bill preparation, production, and support to teams across EMEA.

Job responsibilities;

  • Drafting and editing pre-bills with detailed attention across the EMEA region
  • Editing WIP including narrative changes, write-offs, updating codes, and other ad hoc requests
  • Checking and finalizing pre-bills to generate invoices in line with local VAT requirements
  • Issuing credit notes and reissuing invoices as instructed
  • Managing client or business specific billing portfolios and monthly billing cycles
  • Generating interim bills and internal invoices
  • Bill dispatch - sending client invoices, narratives, and supporting documents via email/letter
  • Managing billing workflow to ensure quick turnaround in line with SLAs
  • Updating matter maintenance such as billing methods, e-billing information, and rates
  • Liaising with the EMEA Revenue Team to foster positive working relationships

Skills & Experience Required

  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to complete tasks independently
  • Self-motivated and dedicated to task completion
  • Legal billing experience and knowledge of practice management systems (e.g., Aderant Expert, Elite, or SAP) is an advantage but not essential
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Continuous improvement mentality
  • Articulate and professional, with a well-developed sense of discretion
