Job Description
THE ROLE: EVP, Strategy & Operations, GCS
Position Summary
This role will lead all strategic analysis and manage various internal processes across A+E’s Global Content Sales (GCS) division, which licenses (outbound) content from the Company’s extensive portfolio across traditional linear, digital, and other emerging media. Reporting to the President, Global Content Sales, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving business growth. The EVP will collaborate with their peers (EVP, Global Content Sales; EVP, Head of Global FAST Channels; and EVP, Group Managing Director, International) to assess new business viability, identify development opportunities, and maximize value within the existing portfolio. Additionally, this role will serve as the liaison between GCS and other key functional areas of the Company (e.g., Finance, Research, Technology). The EVP will also work closely with the President & Chairman’s Chief of Staff to ensure that projects and initiatives are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Primary Duties

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE: Design and conduct quantitative analysis to optimize revenue from licensing activity and manage partner relationships.

FINANCIAL PLANNING: Advocate for GCS in all planning and market research processes, working closely with Finance and Research.

PARTNERSHIPS: Identify new business opportunities and develop business cases (both qualitative and quantitative) to support investment in growth. This includes (but is not limited to) co-productions, licensing opportunities, format sales, and licensing prospects related to AI.

TECHNOLOGY / SYSTEMS: Collaborate with Technology to develop systems and deploy technology (including automation and artificial intelligence) to improve operational efficiency across the division.

COMMUNICATIONS: Draft all divisional communications to internal senior management and contribute to Board correspondence.

Drive other special projects as requested by the President, GCS.
Basic Requirements

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in progressive senior leadership roles within the content sales/media industry (prior experience in linear television is helpful, but not required)

At least 7 years of people management experience
-
At least 5 years of experience in financial modeling, statistics and other quantitative analyses.

At least 3 years of experience building dynamic Excel financial models
-
At least 3 years of experience creating decks for executive/Board-level presentations (using Power Point or other similar tools)

Travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time
Preferred Requirements

A deep understanding of (and interest in) the opportunities and challenges facing the media industry due to emerging technologies.

Experience working directly within a Sales organization or in partnership with one.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to create structured work plans from disparate inputs.

CompensationAnnual Pay Range: $342,741 - $411,289Annual Incentive Target: 40.00%
