As Events Marketing Manager, you'll lead revenue-generating events and initiatives, partnering with Sales and Marketing to enhance brand visibility and drive demand, while managing a small team and collaborating cross-functionally to meet business objectives.
Summary Generated by Built In

Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

As Event Marketing Manager, you'll own and drive revenue generating events and initiatives forward, identifying new opportunities to increase impact, and rallying others around those ideas. You'll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and our Global Experiential Events team to translate organizational objectives into impactful events and experiences. Your main responsibility will involve completing both in-person and virtual events that align with our business objectives, including livestreams, field events, sales-led, and executive/partner experiences. Build a scalable events' strategy for existing and new markets to increase brand awareness and drive demand.

This is a full time role based in our London hub.

What you'll do at Figma:

  • Establish EMEA Event Marketing Strategy: Coordinate virtual and in-person events in EMEA to raise brand visibility and drive sales. Ensure successful execution, standard methodology and solid return on investment
  • Project Management: Plan and carry out events from start to finish, including assisting the sales team, managing calendars, planning travel, sending out invitations, coordinating swag/giveaways, overseeing attendees, scheduling speakers, and following up post-event
  • Operations: Collaborate with the wider EMEA Marketing Team to define metrics, track and measure the success of events, and develop lead nurture plans that drive conversion on the heels of any event
  • Foster cross-functional communications across the Marketing and Sales organizations to ensure alignment and agreement, while identifying new opportunities to increase impact and drive innovation
  • Performance Tracking and Budget: Develop and implement frameworks and processes to ensure team success, including the tracking and measurement of all marketing programs and spend to budget. This also includes managing third-party vendor relationships, and end-to-end contract negotiations with thoughtful prioritization and optimisation for scale
  • Regional Leadership: Manage a small team of 2-3 EMEA-based event contractors, as well as be a regional leader and an International Marketing brand ambassador

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in events marketing, field marketing, working with sales teams, and owning/delivering on pipeline generation targets
  • Experience with owning all aspects of planning events big and small, such as custom thought leadership programs, roadshows, trade shows & sponsorships, sales dinners, webinars, executive programs and Executive Briefing Centers
  • Experience creating a strategy that meets a revenue target and associated business priorities
  • Understand how to work with, and influence partners. You have experience solving complex marketing problems, and collaborating with senior management to find success
  • A data-driven yet creative mind who likes bringing new insights to existing projects and continuously pushes the team to try new things
  • Strong project management skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal and external partners, build relationships, and negotiate with vendors and partners
  • Proven track record of adapting to changing circumstances, handling unexpected challenges or changes during events, and experience finding solutions to ensure successful event outcomes
  • Comfort-level with up to 25% travel
