About the Position:

We are seeking a Events and Marketing Data Specialist to support our event marketing initiatives through accurate data entry, database upkeep, and basic performance tracking. In this role, you will work closely with the marketing team to handle event setup, monitor attendee information, and manage post-event data reconciliation. This position is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and looking to build a foundation in marketing operations and analytics.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry & Maintenance: Accurately enter and update event-related data (e.g., attendee information, session schedules) in our CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Pre-Event Coordination: Collaborate with marketing and event teams to gather all necessary details (dates, agendas, promotional materials) for event setup; ensure data is complete and error-free.
  • Post-Event Reconciliation: Collect and record attendee and lead information after each event; ensure proper segmentation for future follow-up and marketing campaigns.
  • Database Quality Control: Perform regular audits of event data to maintain consistency, correct errors, and uphold data hygiene standards.
  • Basic Reporting & Analysis: Generate simple reports (e.g., registration numbers, attendance rates) to help stakeholders understand event outcomes and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and event management, to stay aligned on deadlines and data requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 1+ year of data entry or administrative experience (marketing/event environment preferred, but not required).
  • Detail-Oriented: Proven accuracy in data entry and the ability to spot inconsistencies or errors.
  • Organizational Skills: Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word) and CRMs (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; able to convey updates and insights clearly to team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Event Management Tools: Familiarity with platforms like GoToWebinar, Eventbrite, or Bizzabo.
  • Data Visualization: Experience with Excel charting, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of lead tracking, A/B testing fundamentals, or related marketing concepts

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
