POSITION SUMMARY

This role is required to be in office 5 days a week.

The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for strategizing, overseeing, and organizing virtual and in person events. This individual will work in a cross-functional capacity to research, plan, execute and measure initiatives within Domo’s event programs. The Event Marketing Manager will create experiences with event programs that support the company strategy, drive profitable revenue growth, enhance customer relationships and inspire employees and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, develop, execute and manage all aspects of assigned Domo events including tradeshows, field events and virtual events including event briefs, communications to internal departments, deliverables, coverage schedules, shipping, and messaging. Implement event strategy, project planning, analysis/post mortem, and processes to up level future events;
  • Own the strategy and execution for Domo owned webinars and third-party webinars. Create a scalable webinar process and cadence to support Marketing objectives and goals;
  • Oversee and evaluate KPI data of events and help drive towards targets and adjust planned events as needed;
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate detailed events logistics, orders and payments, selecting and securing event venues, leading booth exhibit logistics, coordinating entertainment, catering, swag, and other arrangements as necessary;
  • Manage several aspects of Domopalooza execution onsite and virtually as assigned;
  • Lead onsite and virtual production, logistics and execution to ensure events are in alignment with the brand for events;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years experience in Marketing Events B2B and/or tech experience;
  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred;
  • Understanding of the Domo brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging;
  • Proficient (or ability to learn) multiple B2B industry tools which are essential for the role:
    • CRM: Salesforce
    • Google Drive: Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
    • Registration and Event Management Platforms: Cvent, Aventri, Jifflenow, Asana, Zoom Webinar
    • Other Systems: Coupa, Concur, DocuSign, Wordpress, Qualtrics
  • Autonomous and self-starting, thrives in a virtual work environment;
  • Limited Managerial responsibilities, which could include, but not limited to managing Intern daily tasks & assignments, and training new hires. Ability to manage onsite teams at events even if there is no direct reporting structure;
  • Flexible attitude, and experience working in a fast-paced environment;
  • Innovate, bring new ideas and provide fresh perspectives on current events;
  • Experience managing complex event programs and budgets;
  • Acute daily focus on KPIs and targets;
  • Report to management using Data while keeping objectives front of mind;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads in a strict, deadline-oriented environment;
  • Skilled negotiator with ability to creatively negotiate demands and do more with less;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • High attention to detail with focus on quality of deliverable;
  • Ability to manage multiple events and projects from multiple stakeholders;
  • Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents in English;
  • Requires the ability to stand on feet for long periods of time;
  • Post pandemic, the ability to travel several times a quarter will be required.
