This is a key position supporting the eQMS for Owens & Minor employees worldwide while reporting to the IT organization. The incumbent will have responsibility for EtQ system configuration, system requests, performing solutions relating to the modules they support, and supporting the entirety of the system when necessary. Occasional escalation of technical issues to EtQ will also be necessary. System requests can be quite technical – this position requires the technical aptitude listed below in order to succeed.
The skills necessary for this position are:
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate appropriately between business users and technical team
- Independent, self-motivated worker
- Programming experience with an object-oriented language, preferably Python
- Manage projects under your control to completion
- Willingness to contribute solutions to complex issues to the entire development team
Sample Activities the Incumbent will work on:
- Triaging and completing ETQ configuration system requests.
- Working with the business to gather requirements that you will then use to update a current ETQ module or build a new one from scratch
- The investigation and resolution of issues and improvement within the Quality System
- Suggest ideas to the business and technical team for standardizing support, informed by resolving issues
- Working with other IT teams to move data extracted from other systems into ETQ
