Who You Are

As the ERP Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall management of the design, integration, scaling and support of ERP solutions for finance, manufacturing, supply chain and planning for current and future factories. In this role you will need both technical and leadership skills to interface directly with business stakeholders, technology experts, internal developers and 3rd party partners to deliver solutions and support this portfolio.

You are someone who comes with strong experience in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing domain. You are knowledgeable about best practices for integrating/interfacing with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Financial Systems (eg. Procure to Pay, Asset Management, FP&A Reporting, etc), Quality Systems and other third-party applications.

This role is based in Alameda, CA (HQ) and will report directly to the Sr Director, Digital Manufacturing Solutions at Sila.

Responsibilities and Duties  

  • Serve as a technical lead for overall Enterprise Resource Planning (Sage X3 ERP) system and related Finance, Procurement, Operations & Supply Chain integrations
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective ERP solutions
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for ERP implementations and upgrades, utilizing agile methodologies
  • Oversee ERP roadmap and projects, manage internal and vendor support team planning and execution, and provide hands-on configuration support
  • Proactively manage technology risks and maintain business continuity plans in partnership with Systems & Software teams.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements 

  • Proven Expertise in ERP Implementation & Support: 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in all phases of ERP system implementation and maintenance, with a strong track record of success in manufacturing environments.
  • Deep Understanding of Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain Processes: Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP/Procurement/Finance & Planning systems, encompassing manufacturing processes, BOMs, PLM, procure-to-pay (eg. Coupa), and supply chain operations.
  • Technical Proficiency in Sage X3 (or Similar ERP Systems): Demonstrated ability to configure, customize, enhance, and integrate Sage X3 (or similar ERP systems) to support finance, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
    Data-Driven Decision Making: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, provide actionable insights, and present clear recommendations to leadership.
  • Adaptability and Results Orientation: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Leadership in IT Systems Management: Demonstrated experience managing IT systems within a chemical or manufacturing environment, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and productivity.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location


The starting base pay for this role is between $137,000 and $174,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
