ERP Functional Specialist

Position Summary:

Marucci Sports is looking for an ERP Functional Specialist to join our team! You would act as the primary liaison between the business and information technology teams by supporting business requests and ensuring efficient use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). As an internal consultant and subject-matter expert, you are responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, providing user training, reviewing and resolving help desk tickets, and offering go-live support for projects and planned releases. You will play a critical part in ensuring that system enhancements align with business needs and that users are equipped to effectively utilize the system.

Position Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact and internal subject-matter-expert for business teams concerning Business Central functionality and processes.
• Review and respond to support requests through the Jira ticketing platform, troubleshooting day-to-day issues reported by business and IT teams, and meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreement (SLA) times for response and resolution
• Document and analyze business requirements for enhancement requests and new project initiatives
• Collaborate with the ERP development team on support requests requiring bug fixes or enhancements to Business Central, ensuring clear and thorough documentation of development needs based on business requirements
• Proactively identify, analyze, and address issues, risks, and improvement opportunities by working through the BC request backlog and conducting independent system analysis.
• Manage the Business Central request backlog, prioritizing and tracking new improvement requests to ensure alignment with business objectives and system capabilities.
• Perform functional testing for all code changes and customizations before handing them to the end user for acceptance testing, documenting the test case scenarios and results in related Jira ticket.
• Work closely with business users during user acceptance testing to ensure new features and changes meet their needs and resolve any issues.
• Provide training and documentation to end-users on new functionality, existing functionality not fully utilized, and general system use, ensuring that users are equipped to make the most of the system.
• Assist in evaluating and recommending new plug-ins and technologies that meet business requirements and enhance system functionality.
• Work closely with the BC team and other stakeholders on all projects and support requests to ensure successful execution and delivery.
• Maintain clear documentation for processes, user requirements, and system enhancements to ensure consistency and transparency.
• Identify and recommend improvements to both system functionality and business processes, ensuring continuous alignment with business goals.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

• Deep understanding of Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
• Experience working with ISV's or extensions that integrate with BC supporting various business needs (i.e. Payment processors, web stores, warehouse management systems, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with finance/accounting, production, inventory, and advanced warehousing in NAV or Business Central

Position Qualifications:

• Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably in a professional services or management consulting firm.
