What you'll do

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all of the functions that the employee may be expected to perform.)

  • Manage the Hunter Douglas North America Ergonomic program
  • Track Ergonomics cost savings to fund data and analytics resource
  • Advise management of organizations regarding human factors in the design, evaluation and operation of products and systems
  • Empower the divisions through Data Analytics (provide insights on root cause of injuries, by role, site, etc.)
  • Assess physical environments by using measuring instruments, subjective assessments, performance and response measurements, modeling and simulations
  • Deliver ergonomic training across multiple divisions within the Organization.
  • Collaborate with multiple business groups, including Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, and Safety to implement ergonomic practices.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout North America
  • Assist Corporate Safety & Risk Management team with safety & health audits
  • All other duties as assigned

Who you are

An employee in this position, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following:

  • At least two years of experience working in an ergonomics or safety role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience utilizing Industry approved Ergonomic Analysis tools and interpreting results.
  • Understanding of general industry standards and knowledge of basic health and safety concepts such as hazard & risk assessment, behavior-based safety, machine / equipment safety etc.
  • The ability to develop and lead Safety training programs.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Considered internal subject matter expert
