The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic equity manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the equity requirements from the clients, ensuring they are treated accurately as per the requirement and coordinating with the payroll team for tax filings. This role will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Share / Equity Management

  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with legal, finance, tax & payroll teams to ensure seamless integration of equity programs within the broader payroll framework.
  • Administration of Global Equity Programs: Oversee & manage the company's & Client’s equity compensation programs (RSU / ESOP, Phantom Shares etc.), ensuring they are compliant with local regulations and do the payroll reporting accordingly.
  • Employee Education and Communication: Develop & deliver educational materials e.g. SOP’s and sessions to help internal team members to understand the types of shares recorded in payroll including the implications of taxation.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Stay updated on international developments regarding equity compensation laws and regulations. Ensure that all equity-related filings and reports are completed in compliance with local laws.
  • Responding to Inquiries: Address employee inquiries related to equity compensation within established service level agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Typically, a minimum of 5 years in payroll and equity administration, with at least 3 years specifically focused on equity programs in a multinational context.
  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (commerce) 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential. Familiarity with global shares platforms is also important.
  • Certifications: Certification as a Certified Equity Professional (CEP) is preferred or in progress.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are crucial for effectively managing equity programs and educating employees.
