Position Description

This role is to originate equity derivative solutions for financial institutions and distributors in Japan.

CLSA, one of the leading equity derivative players in Asia, has initiated its business development efforts in Japan 2021. Unlike competitors with long established in Japan, we are yet to have winning formula in Japan so that everything you do and your creativity will have a big impact on the course of our endeavor and its success.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Marketing and distributing equity derivatives, including delta one products, vanilla options, structured derivatives, QIS etc. in Japan
• Provide support on Japanese client development and on boarding.
• Work closely with structuring and trading teams to develop customized product solutions for financial institutions, distributors and asset managers in Japan.
• Leverage global sales teams to increase cross-selling and enhance business relationships with the overseas offices of Japanese clients.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of the equity derivatives and QIS. Ideally with more than 5 years of working experience in related fields.
• Familiarity with financial institutions' demands for solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of structured note market (Uridashi and private placement).
• Relationship and connectivity to financial institutions, distributors and asset managers in Japan.
• Fluency in Japanese and English. Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
• A self-motivated team player with full of curiosity. Comfortable with working in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment.
