Hours: 2nd shift Mon - Fri 2:15pm - 10:45pm*

*Flexibility is required due to business needs (Including weekends and holidays)

Job Summary

The Environmental Services Supervisor plays a vital leadership role within the City of Hope Environmental Services department, which provides essential non-medical sanitation support to contribute to positive patient outcomes. The Supervisor upholds a comprehensive knowledge and high-quality standards of Environmental Services operations, effectively prioritizing short- and long-term goals. They guide and motivate staff to complete day-to-day responsibilities, ensuring a safe and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and revise staff work duties and schedules to meet department needs.

  • Manage team performance and ensure adherence to established cleaning procedures.

  • Maintain a high standard of sanitation to provide a safe environment.

  • Assist with performing cleaning tasks as needed.

  • Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of Environmental Services experience required.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong leadership ability and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office Products.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
